FORE is excited to have teamed up with Amata Spring Country Club to manage the volunteer program for the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship from the 27th-30th of October. The event will be held at the majestic Amata Spring Country Club and will give the chance to see the best rising stars across the Asia Pacific Region, past winners include Hideki Matsuyama in 2010/2011 and Curtis Luck in 2016, the winner of the event receives a place in The Open Championship and The Master in 2023.

FORE is excited to have teamed up with Amata Spring Country Club to manage the volunteer program for the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship from the 27th-30th of October.

The event will be held at the majestic Amata Spring Country Club and will give the chance to see the best rising stars across the Asia Pacific Region, past winners include Hideki Matsuyama in 2010/2011 and Curtis Luck in 2016, the winner of the event receives a place in The Open Championship and The Master in 2023.

THE FORMAT

The event is 72 hole stroke play with a cut after two rounds for top 60 players and ties, the winner of the event will win a place in the field at The Master 2023.

ENTRIES

Invitations for the championship are sent to the leading players from the ACC member organizations. Each country is automatically provided with one position, which is to be filled by its highest-ranked player from the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). If an APGC member organization has more than one player in WAGR, that member organization is provided with an additional position, to be filled by the next ranked player. If an APGC member organization does not have any players ranked in WAGR, it can nominate one player.

The remainder of the field is filled by taking the next highest-ranked players from the WAGR with the maximum number of players allowed from a country being seven. The only exception is for the host country, which is allowed to have an additional three players.

VOLUNTEERS

This week Fore has over 100 volunteers per day taking part in the event  the roles they will undertake include, Walking Scorers, Super Spotters, Marshals, Shuttle drivers and TV Assistants. Without volunteers events of this magnitude cannot happen, as they are a key part to the operations.
